Overview:

Job Description:
The Account Executive position will include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain good relations with clients.
- Promote services through conventions, trade shows, public relations.
- Discuss and explain equipment to prospective clients.
- Cold calling to prospective clients.
- Perform link budgets
- Visit clients and explain our services.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office; including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
- Previous experience in Telecom industry a plus.
- Previous experience as account executive a plus.
MICROWAVE ENGINEER
Overview:
Tempest Telecom Solutions is seeking a Microwave Engineer to work with our Services team in Dallas, Texas (remote work locations will be considered). Work includes elements of Design, Reporting, and Field Services.
Job Description:
The Microwave Engineering position will include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Design point-to-point microwave paths for licensed and unlicensed frequencies and equipment using the latest version of Pathloss software
- Provide path calculations for all microwave technologies and frequencies (2GHx to 38 GHz)
- Design backhaul systems for wide variety of capacities
- Generate traffic planning diagrams and route maps
- Perform link budgets
- Prepare all necessary documentation to facilitate frequency coordination and FCC licensing
- Develop complete engineering statements of work for microwave installations
- Field work including path surveys, installation and commissioning support, troubleshooting, and optimization of microwave systems
- Identify, measure and track interference sources
- Oversee and manage microwave hop installations
- Evaluate, test and troubleshoot microwave installations
- Work with customers and sales teams directly to find best engineering and product solutions
Job Requirements:
- Min 5-7 plus years of verifiable Microwave (and/or RF) network design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or electronics technology OR Associate’s degree/military training
- Prior RF/microwave experience with a wireless service provider a strong asset
- Experience in licensed and unlicensed microwave bands and the associated technologies
- Expert-level proficiency with the microwave planning tool Pathloss. Thorough knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Vision.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with RF instrumentation and tools
- Strong RF systems engineering knowledge and analytical skills
- Experience in working at cell sites
- Experience in installation, verification and optimization of Microwave systems
- Working knowledge and experience in IP networking a strong asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must; Spanish considered a strong asset
- Must be able to create clear, concise and accurate technical reports
- Flexible person with the ability to manage stressful situations
- Working knowledge of GSM, CDMA and UMTS wireless technologies a strong asset
PROJECT MANAGER
Overview:
Tempest Telecom Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to work with our Services Group in Irving Texas. Work includes the oversight of all telecommunications project functions including Budgets, Schedules and Quality.
Job Description:
The Project Manager position will include the following roles and responsibilities::
- Establishing procedures and processes for multiple telecom, logistics and technical projects
- Manage vendors performing services functions
- Manage reconfiguration and repair of telecom equipment
- Communicate schedules with customers
- Establish reporting for customers and internal use
- Oversee project budgets and variances
- Work with technical staff to develop and implement solutions
- Work with Logistics staff to fulfill storage and transportation requirements
- Work with Engineering staff to develop and implement solutions
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager
- Minimum 2 years of Telecom Experience
- Strong understanding of spreadsheets and databases
- Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a requirement (Spanish an asset)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- RF/microwave experience with a wireless service provider a strong asset
- Site Development Experience a strong asset
- Equipment Engineering Experience an asset
- Working knowledge of GSM, CDMA and UMTS wireless technologies a strong asset
- Flexible person with the ability to manage stressful situations
- Spanish fluency an asset
